Weather and Hyperhidrosis

Posted on July 16, 2018

"I really didn't think there were other people like me. I thought I was a freak. I look in the crowd and nobody is dripping like me. Stress, embarrassment, more sweating." - A member of MyHyperhidrosisTeam

On MyHyperhidrosisTeam, the social network and online support group for those living hyperhidrosis, members talk about a range of personal experiences and struggles. The weather is one of the top 10 topics most discussed.

Here are some conversations about the weather:

β€’ Thank goodness our weather in Australia is cooling down, my head has sweated all day!

β€’ The weather is a bit cooler also which helps. Dreading summer in London when it not only gets hot but humid also - it’s the humidity which really makes things unbearable.

β€’ It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, I still sweat profusely!

Can you relate?

Sweating is the most embarrassing thing that I've dealt with, and I'm 72, so I promise you that I've had some zingers.
