What Are The Best Treatments For Hyperhydrosis?

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ukiah, CA

I tried Iontopheresis (for my hands and feet) and whilst this worked it didn’t completly stop the sweating so my dermatologist recommended botox. I could only have it in my hands and it only worked for 2 months. I have also tried medication but it made my mouth so dry i had to stop. What other treatments are available? And what treatments have people found to be the most effective?

Is There A Brand Of Glycopyrrolate That Is Most Effective?

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Toronto, ON

I'm new to this group but not new to hyperhidrosis. I'm currently 55 but my first memory of excessive sweating was on the playground in 5th or 6th grade. No one wanted to share their baseball mitt with me because my sweating made it sopping wet. Fast forward to my late 20s when I discovered oxybutynin and my life changed. I was finally able to manage my excessive sweating and felt a lot more comfortable in my skin. Recently the oxybutynin manufacturer I had been using (Apotex) no longer produces… read more

Is There I Can Use Or Do To Feel A Little Relief?

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bronx, NY

I'm always hot, but had been sweating like crazy over a few months. The doctor seems not to care when I mention it. Is there any way, form, treatment I can use to feel relief? This completely changed my life. I am very aware of the constant sweating and feel ashamed to go out or even receiving visitors since no one seems to understand and tell me is menopause. I sweat mostly my head and face, get red, getting rashes under my breast and bikini line, vaginal infections since I get completely… read more

I Have Horrific Head Sweats. I Look Like I’ve Just Washed My Hair, It Gets Soaking Wet. I Dread Going To Social Events.

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Eastbourne, UK

It just starts sometimes for no reason, if I’m out it’s is so embarrassing , it’s depressing me as I no longer look forward to social events and find it’s really affecting my life. I have a family wedding in July which I am dreading because of it. All necklines of clothes get soaked . I am so aware of it all the time and feel very anxious. I haven’t discussed this with a dr. I find it very embarrassing.

How Do I Get My Point Across To My Doctor?

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bristow, OK

I have always been a extreme sweater. My Mother, Father and Grandfather have too. I recently was prescribed an antidepressant that finally works. After years of trying numerous scripts that never worked. I finally have found help with despression but my sweating has increased to the level it's interfering with my quality of life. I was given clonidine first for the sweating with no success. It only bottomed out my blood pressure to 89/58. Then was prescribed gabapentin which I refused to take… read more
