I Have Hyperhidrosis All Over 24/7

A MyHyperhidrosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My scalp, forehead, face, neck, chest. I sweat all over. Every second of the day. All day. All night. I’ve been given oxybutynin and propantheline bromide tablets. Both leave me with severe dry mouth. To the point I can’t swallow any food. It leaves the roof of my mouth raw and sore and my throat is bone dry. I try to eat and choke because my throat won’t allow anything to pass through. I’m drinking fluids all day. Sipping every few minutes allll day to stop the inside of my mouth becoming sore… read more

Hey. It’s awful regardless of where on the body it is. Can you tell me if probantheline was awful on the first day and got better or has it been fine for you since day 1. I’m on day 1 and I can’t swallow a thing. My throat is so dry. It feels like my throat has shrunk and it’s so dry. Almost like sand in the back of my throat. I can handle the heat and wetness over my body. Mainly because I wear black but that’s not good because I want to wear bright colours but too worried about the sweat like you. For me it’s the face and hair and neck and chest. I can’t make my hair look nice because it’s soaking wet. I can’t wear makeup because my face is soaking wet. But the worst is people constantly saying, did you run here, you’re only 32, are you on the menopause, why don’t you slow down. I know there not being malicious but it gets tedious after 6 years suffering. I’m also in the UK. North west England. It could be minus 2 and I need a scarf because my neck is cold but I’m also pouring in sweat. I hope you find an end to this. It’s awful. Thank you for replying.

🤗I really feel for you! It's my hands, feet and groin/ bum that sweat , that's bad enough never mind all over. I'm sick of w looking like I've wet myself, not being able to wear sandals or just no shoes at all!! It makes me hate the summer! I'm in the UK, so don't know if we have different treatments, but the only thing that has worked for me is probantheline, but it's stopped being made here now. I have been referred for Botox but since COVID, non essential procedures have stopped 😩 I'd like them to live my life for a while then decide if it's "non essential" Sorry I'm not helping just wanted you to know you're not alone x
