I sweat like someone has poured a bucket of water over my head. Happens mostly in public.

Me either but I do find when I go out that if I bring a bottle of ice water wrapped in a bandana and use that to wipe my face and neck it helps a bit...hugs!

I sometimes tell people I am having a hot flash (even though I have been post-menopaueal for 15 years) because people understand hot flashes.
The don't understand hyperhydrosis.

My complete (everything went) hysterectomy was 30 years ago. Some friends think I'm having hot flashes...ah... I don't think so. I had them when my body went through such a brutal quick withdrawal.. I had severe endometriosis and couldn't take replacement estrogen for over six months! A hot flash for me was an envelope of heat that caused my flesh to feel hot on the inside and on the skin of my face. I think it got red too...but it did not involve sweating!! So weird!!
